MKTPlace video presented to IFAD Executive Board

The achievements of the Agricultural Innovation Marketplace were presented during the 107th Session of the Executive Board of IFAD, held in Rome a few days ago, reinforcing the importance of this partnership for the success of this innovative experience.

The Africa-Brazil Agricultural Innovation Marketplace, as a platform for agricultural innovation, was cited in the "Technology and Innovation Report 2012" of United Nations Conference on Trade and Development - UNCTAD.

We are pleased to pre-announce another call for proposals for the Agricultural Innovation Marketplace. The next call for pre-proposals is planned to be launched on 02 January 2013.

The new Marketplace website (www.mktplace.org) will be available for registrations starting 01 Dec 2012. We strongly encourage you to visit and register yourself on our new website after 01 Dec. By registering, you will receive updated information on the initiative and will be able to find partners and submit proposals during the call.

Participation of the Marketplace Team on GCARD II

On October 29th, the Marketplace team presented the Africa-Brazil and LAC-Brazil initiatives during the GCARD II, in the session “North-South and South-South Collective Actions. The session was attended by approximately 70 people and had presentation by, Forum for Agricultural Research in Africa (FARA), Conseil Ouest et Centre Africain pour la Recherche et le Développement Agricoles / West and Central African Council for Agricultural Research and Development (CORAF/WECARD), European Forum on Agricultural Research for Development (EFARD/AGRINATURA) and Brazilian Agricultural Research Corporation (EMBRAPA), followed by a discussion among presents and the audience.

There was quite an interested in the Marketplace with questions like: "In the future, you can expand the Marketplace to other continents?", "What were the benefits achieved to date by the Agricultural Innovation Marketplace?" and "How can we participate in new calls for project selection?".
