Marketplace projects will be implemented in 17
countries with the collaboration of 22 Embrapa research centers
The Africa-Brazil Agricultural Innovation Marketplace (the Africa-Brazil
Marketplace) has been running since 2010. In just over 2 years the Marketplace reviewed a total of 168 projects from 26 African
countries, involving a partnership with 37 Embrapa research centers, from 4
thematic areas. In this period, the Steering Committee has approved a total of 30 projects, involving 11
countries and 21 research centers of Embrapa. Ten
projects are being implemented
and 20 new projects are
ready to start.
Launched in October of 2011, the LAC-Brazil Agricultural Innovation
Marketplace (the LAC-Brazil Markeplace is focused on generating benefits for
small farmers in the region. Among the 90 projects reviewed by the Steering
Committee, 5 were approved to be implemented in five countries, with the
participation of 3 Embrapa research centers.
