Welcome to the Africa Brazil Latin American and Caribbean Agricultural Innovation Marketplace Blog!

Expectations
During Meet and Greet in this evening, we could feel the participants have great expectations about the Forum. Many expect to learn from others' experiences and to get to know how to improve the projects they had presented.
Ms. Flora Ismail Tibazarwa, from the University of Dar es Salaam, in Tanzania, said the Forum is a great opportunity for networking between the ones who won and those who did not have their proposals selected, mainly for future improvement of new proposals. She suggested the Forum could be a link for other funding opportunities, since there are some very good proposals that could not be funded because there was not money for them. Finally, Ms. Tibazarwa said the only challenge of the Forum is the language spoken in Brazil, and she suggested the Innovation Marketplace webpage to have a basic vocabulary of Portuguese for next time.
Thank you very much for your participation! Tomorrow is a day of great opportunities to be shared!

Feedback sent to Marketplace project participants
is well received by researchers
is well received by researchers
In response to efforts
made by Marketplace participants in
the preparation of their research projects, the Marketplace team sent feedbacks
to the co-leaders who did not have
their projects approved in this first moment. Below
is one of the comments received
by the Marketplace team in
response to this feedback.
“Thank you so much for this email
regarding the scores of our proposal. Certainly, we hope that we can improve in
the near future the scores that were lower than average and focus in weak
points. I sincerely appreciate the time and effort you are doing with us
(people who were not selected), to be better, next time.” Helga Rodriguez,
Instituto del Café de Costa Rica, ICAFE, Costa Rica.
