The Opening Ceremony has just finished.
The participants got all together to officially start the Forum! Authorities representing the Agricultural Innovation Marketplace partners opened the ceremony with great enthusiasm.
The President of Embrapa, Mr. Pedro Antonio Arraes Pereira, said the Africa Brazil LAC Agricultural Innovation Marketplace is a gret opportunity to mobilize expertise and support researchers integration.
Mr. Daniel Bradley (DFID) exposed the impressive way the initiative have evolved from its beginning unitl today.
The Minister of Agriculture, Livestock and Food Supply of Brazil, Mr. Mendes Ribeiro Filho, emphasized that it is very important for those who know more to transfer to those who need.

Mr. Victor Villalobos (IICA) said an institution alone is not able to solve the main problems of the world, but if many institutions get together and cooperate, the way to improve the world development is much shorter.
After winning a plaque for the work done while the Director of the Brazilian Cooperation Agency (ABC), Mr. Marco Farani said it is very important to deal with researchers, since they deal with the real truth, the scientific one.
Mr. Adewale Adekunle (FARA) reported that in the beginning FARA thought it would be hard to cooperate with such a great agricultural power like Brazil, but as the initiative went on, it was realized it is much easier than with other partners. He said we are teaching the world new ways of cooperation for development.
During the ceremony, a representative from Africa (Ms. Ofelia Omitogun) and another one from the LAC region (Mr. Freddy Sosa) earned cheques simbolizing the amount financed by the Marketplace.
It was a very fruitful time to tell stories and realize we are on the right way to try to make the world a better place.
Let's wait for the events of the afernoon. We are eager to continue the event!
